Efrain Torres III

Personal:

• Born and raised in Waterbury, I was taught the value of service. The Bible calls us to “serve one another humbly,” and that’s how I will lead. United, we can move Waterbury forward.

• A community mentor and small business owner (operating in CT & MA), I lead GreenCore, LLC., and have served as a mayoral aide, substitute teacher, and member of the Board of Ethics Committee.

• I will strengthen our local economy by supporting small and minority-owned businesses, while also investing in programs that provide essential services, including food, shelter, and support for seniors, at-risk youth, and residents with special needs.  

Issues:

• Promote investment in roads, sidewalks, and public spaces, with open communication between residents and city officials.

• Ensure transparency so every tax dollar is spent responsibly and in the community’s best interest.

• Strengthen public safety by providing first responders with the staffing, training, and resources they need to protect our neighborhoods.
